2019 Italy Republic, booklet dedicated to the centenary of the death of Cesare Maccari, painter born in Siena on 9 May 1840 and died in Rome on 17 April 1919 passionate scholar of ancient painting. Due to a cutting error, the booklet is 1 cm taller, as is the internal leaflet, which shows the colour proof scales for the print at the bottom. The booklet contains information on the painter’s life and reproductions of some of his works. It also contains the leaflet reproducing the fresco ‘Cicero railing against Catiline’ in the Yellow Room of the Senate, which he painted. The sheetlet reproduces the fresco in two different images, one in natural numbered from 1 to 30,000 and the other in negative with the exception of Cicero (stamp) and Catiline (letter opener) which are in colour. 1 sheet new, perfect, mint and never hinged. The number may be different from the image.
