Aeronautica Militare, 100° anniversario della costituzione
Il 23 maggio 2023 Poste Italiane ha emesso un francobollo in tariffa B celebrativo dell’Aeronautica militare, nel 100° anniversario della costituzione, congiunto con la Città del Vaticano e il Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta.
L’emissione filatelica commemorativa del centenario dell’aeronautica comprende:
- 1 francobollo singolo di Italia, emesso in fogli da 45;
- 1 foglietto congiunto Italia (50.000 esemplari) – Vaticano – SMOM;
- 1 foglietto di 6 francobolli (80.000);
- 8 tessere filatelica, di cui 6 con i francobolli provenienti dal foglietto da 6, 1 con il francobollo proveniente dal foglietto di Italia congiunto e 1 contenente il francobollo singolo in foglio da 45;
- 1 folder a 5 ante;
- 6 folder a 2 ante, formato A5;
Il Francobollo singolo riproduce, su campo bianco, il logo del Centenario dell’Aeronautica Militare. Completano il francobollo le legende “IN VOLO VERSO IL FUTURO”, “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE”, la scritta “ITALIA” e l’indicazione tariffaria “B”.
Il foglietto congiunto riproduce una foto d’epoca, su gentile concessione di utilizzo da parte del Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta, raffigurante tre velivoli che sorvolano Roma e la Città del Vaticano in cui si distinguono Piazza San Pietro con l’omonima Basilica e il Colonnato del Bernini. In evidenza, nel francobollo, vi è un SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIALE” dell’Aeronautica Militare, in dotazione al Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta, e si scorge la Cupola di San Pietro. Al centro del foglietto è riprodotto il logo del Centenario dell’Aeronautica Militare. Completano il foglietto le legende “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE” e “EMISSIONE CONGIUNTA CITTÀ DEL VATICANO – SMOM – ITALIA”.
Il foglietto di Italia (emissione non congiunta con Vaticano e SMOM) è composto da 6 francobolli che riproducono l’immagine dei velivoli che, nel corso dei 100 anni di storia dell’Aeronautica Militare, ne hanno segnato il percorso evolutivo. Precisamente, da sinistra a destra, in senso orario: AERITALIA (LOCKHEED) F-104S “STARFIGHTER”; AERITALIA (FIAT) G.91 R-1 B; SIKORSKY HH-3F “COMBAT SAR”; SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIALE”; PANAVIA “TORNADO” IDS; EUROFIGHTER EF-2000 A “TYPHOON” e LOCKHEED-MARTIN F-35 A “LIGHTNING II”. Completano i francobolli la legenda “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE”, le rispettive denominazioni dei velivoli, la scritta “ITALIA” e l’indicazione tariffaria “B”.
Il Folder in formato A4 a 5 ante contiene il foglietto di Italia da 6 francobolli, il foglietto di Italia congiunto con Vaticano e SMOM, 1 bollettino postale, 1 francobollo singolo di Italia dal foglio di 45 e 8 buste personalizzate ciascuna dedicata e raffigurante rispettivamente i 7 velivoli che hanno fatto la storia dell’Aeronautica Militare e il logo del centenario .
I 6 folder contengono ciascuno 1 francobollo di Italia proveniente dal foglio da 45 e 1 cartolina affrancata e obliterata raffiguranti rispettivamente i veivoli AERITALIA (LOCKHEED) F-104S “STARFIGHTER”; AERITALIA (FIAT) G.91 R-1 B; SIKORSKY HH-3F “COMBAT SAR”; SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIALE”; PANAVIA “TORNADO” IDS; EUROFIGHTER EF-2000 A “TYPHOON” LOCKHEED-MARTIN F-35 A “LIGHTNING II”.

On 23 May 2023 Poste Italiane issued a stamp in tariff B celebrating the Air Force, on the 100th anniversary of its establishment, jointly with the Vatican City and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
The philatelic issue commemorating the centenary of the Air Force includes:
- 1 single stamp of Italy, issued in sheets of 45;
- 1 joint sheet Italy (50,000 copies) – Vatican – SMOM;
- 1 sheet of 6 stamps (80,000);
- 8 philatelic cards, of which 6 with the stamps coming from the sheet of 6, 1 with the stamp coming from the joint Italy sheet and 1 containing the single stamp in sheet of 45
- 1 five-fold folder;
- 6 two-leaf folders, A5 format;
The single stamp reproduces, on a white field, the logo of the Centenary of the Italian Air Force. The stamp is completed by the legends “IN VOLO VERSO IL FUTURO”, “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE”, the inscription “ITALIA” and the tariff indication “B”.
The joint sheet reproduces a period photo, courtesy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, depicting three aircraft flying over Rome and the Vatican City in which St. Peter’s Square with the Basilica of the same name and Bernini’s Colonnade stand out. Highlighted on the stamp is a SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIALE” of the Italian Air Force, used by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, and the dome of St. Peter’s can be seen.
In the centre of the sheet is the logo of the Centenary of the Italian Air Force. The legends “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE” and “EMISSIONE CONGIUNTA CITTÀ DEL VATICANO – SMOM – ITALIA” complete the sheet.
The Italy sheet (the non-joint issue with the Vatican and SMOM) is made up of six stamps, arranged on two rows and reproducing the image of some aircraft that, over the 100 years of the Air Force’s history, have marked its evolutionary path, allowing our country to defend democratic principles from possible violations of peace and freedom and precisely, from left to right, clockwise: AERITALIA (LOCKHEED) F-104S “STARFIGHTER”; AERITALIA (FIAT) G.91 R-1 B; SIKORSKY HH-3F “COMBAT SAR”; SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIALE”; PANAVIA “TORNADO” IDS; EUROFIGHTER EF-2000 A “TYPHOON” and LOCKHEED-MARTIN F-35 A “LIGHTNING II”. The stamps are completed by the legend “CENTENARIO AERONAUTICA MILITARE”, the respective aircraft designations, the inscription “ITALIA” and the tariff indication “B”.
The A4 five-panel Folder contains the Italy sheet of 6 stamps, the joint Italy sheet with the Vatican and SMOM, 1 postage stamp, 1 single stamp of Italy from the sheet of 45 and 8 personalised envelopes each dedicated to and depicting respectively the 7 aircraft that have made the history of the Italian Air Force and the centenary logo.
The 6 folders each contain 1 stamp of Italy from the sheet of 45 and 1 franked and obliterated postcard depicting respectively the aircraft AERITALIA (LOCKHEED) F-104S “STARFIGHTER”; AERITALIA (FIAT) G.91 R-1 B; SIKORSKY HH-3F “COMBAT SAR”; SIAI MARCHETTI S.82 “MARSUPIAL”; PANAVIA “TORNADO” IDS; EUROFIGHTER EF-2000 A “TYPHOON” LOCKHEED-MARTIN F-35 A “LIGHTNING II”.
